Ever wonder what your favorite rock stars do with all that downtime between albums? Well, Metallica's Kirk Hammett went and wrote himself a book -- and if you live in the New York, San Francisco, or Los Angeles area, soon you'll have a chance to have him sign it in person.

Hammett's book, 'Too Much Horror Business,' offers more than 225 oversized pages of his thoughts on horror movies, as well as photos of his extensive memorabilia collection. In addition, the book includes several extensive interviews with Hammett.

"I've been into [horror] stuff since I was five years old," he explained in a recent interview. "My love for this stuff is insane and totally obsessive-compulsive. It's just one of those things. I'm still waiting to outgrow it or get tired of it or get bored with it. But it does not seem to happen."

"This is my gift to all the other horror nerds out there who are just like me," Hammett added in a press release. "It’s been made with great love for all the many characters and movies which guided me through childhood, into adulthood and which still keep me on track today."

Take a look at Hammett's book signing itinerary below, and let us know if you'll be picking up a copy of 'Too Much Horror Business' for him to sign.
