Mariners Beat Rangers, Astros Top Indians
The Texas Rangers are solidly in the lead in the AL West but, they fell to the 3rd place Seattle Mariners 14-6 yesterday.
The 6th inning was when when the Mariners scored 6 runs on their way to the win. Rangers starter Cole Hamels only lasted 2 innings before he was pulled. The loss won't have any effect on the Rangers, who have a solid 8 & 1/2 game lead over Houston.
The Astros are fighting for a Wildcard playoff spot, and notched a 6-2 win over Cleveland, ending the Indians 6-game winning streak.
Alex Bregman had a 2-run homer in the 3rd, while pitcher Mike Fiersgave up 2 runs in 5 innings.
League leading hitter jose Altuve had an RBI double to boost his average to .346.
