I don't know about you, but nothing says sexy as hell like a blonde with big.....well.....assets.  But, when that particular blonde bombshell has a set of pipes on her that can belt out one of the most intense "metal screams" around today, then that my friend is a keeper.

Her name is Maria Brink.  The lead singer of the band In This Moment.  Voted the "Hottest Chick in Metal" by Revolver Magazine for 2 years, and in a world dominated by mostly men, Maria is a breast of fresh air.....BREATH, I meant breath.

In This Moment burst out on the scene in 2005.  Guitarist Chris Howorth was reluctant to work with Maria at first because, lets face it, look at her.  Not exactly the stereotypical Metal singer is she?  However, at a jam session one night, Brink decided to crash the party and grabbed the mic and started singing and blew Howorth away.  They began writing songs and traveling on their own dime shortly after.  They were 100% self promoted (mostly on Myspace) and barely made any money at gigs sometimes driving as much as 8 hours for a $50 payday.  Then, by chance, they were heard on Myspace by none other than Rob "Blasko" Nicholson, bassist for Rob Zombie and most recently Ozzy Osbourne.

Blasko immediately began to manage the band and the rest, as they say, is history.  They've been on such tours as the hugely popular "Music As A Weapon" tour headlined by Disturbed and you can catch them out on tour right now as part of the Uproar Festival....coming to a city near you this summer.

And, if you want a taste of In This Moment, here is their cover of Blondie's "Call Me".....you're welcome.
