When Doug Eaton turned 65, he celebrated by handing out cash to motorists in Oklahoma City. Usually, you get money from people you know for your birthday, as opposed to being the one doling it out to complete strangers.

Yeah, that’s pretty selflesss. In fact, it’s much more selfless than we could ever be. It also made us wish we were in OKC over the weekend to grab some bills. While dispensing the money, Eaton held up a sign that read: “I have a home and a car and a job. Do you need a few bucks for some coffee?” He’s the anti-panhandler.

So why the reverse celebration? Eaton revealed that he got the idea via social media. How modern of a senior citizen like Eaton to have a Facebook page and to turn to his friend contigent for ideas about how to celebrate his big day. “I asked a bunch of my friends on Facebook what should I do on my sixty-fifth and I got a whole long list of stuff and one of my friends said, ‘Why don’t you do 65 random acts of kindness?,’” he told KFOR TV.

So for 65 minutes – one minute for each year of his life- Eaton passed out $5 bills to passersby. Not everyone accepted his generous gift, but they still loved the spirit of his behavior and actions. He said, “It’s just been fantastic. Some people who don’t take the money say, ‘Man, I love what you are doing. I won’t take it but give it to someone who needs it,’” he said.

It was not revealed how much free cash Eaton gave away. We bet his kid’s were counting every penny of that inheritance just walk away.
