When you listen to the down home, southern fried rock n' roll of Lynyrd Skynyrd, what sort of food comes to mind? Barbecue, right? And what goes better with tasty barbecue and the southern rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd? Well, if you said beer, pat yourself on the back, because that's the perfect combination, and that's what it's all about at a new restaurant opening later this year in Las Vegas.

Lynyrd Skynyrd's Barbecue and Beer will be located in the Excalibur Hotel and Casino, and according to Johnny Van Zant, the name says it all.

“It’s called Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Barbecue and Beer. It ought to be a lot of fun. We took a lot of stuff like from the Hell House because that’s where the band really made their chops out there in Green Cove Springs, Florida, they called it the Hell House and pretty neat thing there so there will be a section there and some different memorabilia and we’re going to go out and play a couple times a year. It ought to be a neat thing to do.”
