Former UHV Jaguars pitcher Andre Del Bosque has been released by the New York Yankees.

The 25 yr old pitcher was drafted by the Yankees in 2014, becoming the first player from UHV ever selected in the Major League Baseball Draft.

Del Bosque played 2 seasons in the Yankees farm system in the Gulf Coast League, the South Atlantic League, and the New York-Penn League.

In his 2 years, Del Bosque had a record of 8-7, a 5.09 ERA, and pitched 77 strikeouts in 86  & 2/3 innings. Del Bosque is a graduate of St. Joeseph High School.
