Greetings people who follow me religiously....or if this is your first time reading then welcome. It's been an interesting week since I last posted. I had a bad stomach flare up and let me tell you, throwing up stuff that is non existent in your stomach hurts and hurts bad. I hadn't eaten anything yet I was throwing up? What the hell? Anyway, my stomach feels much better now even though not totally up to par (picture a bad stomach virus and the few days afterward). My meds still suck. I have found that one of my medications makes me sweat like a pig in a sauna so that's fun. And it's not just normal sweat. I'm talking shirt drenching, take multiple showers a day sweat. And it smells! Not like normal sweat but it has a chemical smell to it and it's pretty freakin gross. I go back to my Rheumatologist on the 17th to monitor what my meds are doing and the very next day my wife and I will meet my family in Huntsville, TX for our very first Lupus walk. Not sure how much I'll be able to walk (One drawback of Lupus is weak, rubber feeling legs) but when I'm not walking I will be sitting in the bleachers with our dog Hogan cheering on his "mama".

Other than that not much else to report. I'm actually feeling pretty OK today and trust me that's an improvement. However, I am still dealing with "The Wall" as they call it. After a certain time of day my energy level is gone...POOF. Unfortunately, that's probably going to be a daily thing for me for the rest of my life which is why they tell you to "budget your spoons". If you don't know what I'm talking about then I suggest you go back and read the blog about the spoon theory...it's pretty interesting.

Until next time...welcome to my life with Lupus.

Take Care!
