Well it's another day in the world of Dave Fenix. I've had 3 chemo treatments already and the tumors seem to be shrinking. I am having issues with my lungs but that's another story altogether. I've also been experiencing a great deal of pain lately that is due to the side effects of a drug called Nualasta. Nualasta helps my body produce the blood cells needed to help in the fight against cancer....unfortunately, producing such an amount of blood cells at one time hurts...and believe me, it hurst. A lot of you have noticed I have adopted a new moniker "Everyday I Fight". Well, it's not exactly new. It came from the late Stuart Scott.

Stuart Scott was more than just a commentator for ESPN. He was a family man, a highly respected member of the media and a true warrior in the fight against cancer. Stuart passed away in early January after a lengthy battle with cancer but he leaves behind a legacy. Not only his children, and what he did while with ESPN but he leaves behind a legacy of a hard fought battle. A battle nobody can understand unless they have fought that battle. I'm fighting that battle now. I have my good days and I have my bad days sure and I've been through the pain before but it doesn't make it hurt any less.

Each day we pick up the mantle and run with it. For people who have yet to be diagnosed and especially for the warriors who came before us who either won their fight or fought hard but were taken from us, we fight on. For people like Stuart Scott who was taken at the young age of 49

Everyday I Fight.

Thanks Stuart.....Rest in peace sir.....we'll take it from here.
