Knowing what to do in an emergency situation could save a life. Skills like knowing how to perform CPR and other first aid is good to know. You can learn those skills this summer when the University of Houston-Victoria's School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development offers a Red Cross Responding to Emergencies course.

The course, which is open to both students and the public, is the Red Cross First Aid, CPR and automated external defibrillator certification course. According to a press release from UHV, no health care or medical experience is necessary to take the course.

The course is set from May 31st to June 30th, and registration for these classes begins Monday (April 25th).
