Bad news from the Lacuna Coil camp. Those looking forward to seeing the band on the 2014 ShipRocked Cruise will have to catch the band at a later date, as the Italian metal act has pulled out of the cruise to focus on "very serious personal family matters."

ShipRocked is set to embark on its latest voyage from Florida to the Bahamas on Jan. 26, bringing fans nonstop rock and partying until Jan. 30. ShipRocked 2014 will feature bands such as Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Sevendust, Living Colour + many others. Lacuna Coil were confirmed to play the floating rock fest, but have been forced to cancel their appearance.

Lacuna Coil posted a message to their fans via the group's official Facebook page:

Friends,

We are truly sorry to announce that we have had to cancel our appearance at the 2014 ShipRocked Cruise.

We are dealing with some very serious personal family matters at this time which demand our full attention. Sadly, we are unable to travel such a far distance away from our loved ones.

We truly hope that you can understand.

Our most sincere apologies to everyone planning to come see us.

We hope to see everyone very soon.

In better news involving the band, Lacuna Coil began recording the follow-up to 'Dark Adrenaline' in September, and have since completed work on the disc, which is being produced by Jay Baumgardner. The album is due to drop in the first half of 2014.
