KISS’ Paul Stanley: ‘Charity Is Not an Option, It Is an Obligation’

Recently, the Chicago Tribune profiled KISS singer Paul Stanley for his recent show at RiverEdge Park in Aurora, Ill. The profile showed a side of Paul Stanley that's critical of his surroundings and open about his thoughts on America, as well as the personal responsibility people should take in their lives.

The smaller show allowed for Stanley to play to a more intimate crowd, and the concert included giving away a mortgage free home to a wounded veteran as part of the night. He spoke about his feelings on America, saying, "Freedom is a word we take for granted far too often. It's not politics that keep us safe... it's our military." He brought this to a further point, saying, "Charity is not an option. It is an obligation."

We recently spoke to Stanley as part of our Loudwire Podcast to discuss a variety of different topics. He spoke about the prospect of a new KISS album, and a renewed interest in doing more music. “As time has passed, I find it becoming more and more enticing — the idea of doing another album,” Stanley describes. “I’m kind of more into it than I was before. For me, it really just comes down to, ‘Is it going to be exciting creatively?’”
