Kiss’ Paul Stanley Sets Several Booksigning Events
Though he at first seemed reluctant to write it, Kiss’ Paul Stanley is really getting into this autobiography thing. He’s doing a number of author events before the publication of ‘Face the Music: A Life Exposed’ on April 8, 2014 via HarperOne.
Stanley, the last of the original founding four in Kiss to write his life story, will sign on April 7 at Barnes and Noble Tribeca in New York, on April 8 at Barnes and Nobles in Staten Island, and on April 9 at Bookends in Ridgewood, N.J.
That will make for a busy week, as Kiss will be see its long-awaited induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 10 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Stanley and Company also won this year’s fan polling. Kiss had been eligible to enter the hall since 1999.
Stanley will also make appearances on April 16 at Barnes and Nobles in Los Angeles, and then on April 25 at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco.
A few years ago, Stanley said that writing his autobiography would be “a waste,” adding: “I don’t find a need to sing my own praises.” Gene Simmons published ‘Kiss and Make-up’ in 2002, and Ace Frehley’s ‘No Regrets’ book followed in 2011. Peter Criss published his in 2012.
