In what started out as a pretty dismal baseball season for the Houston Astros, has taken a pleasantly surprising turn during the past couple of months.

Winning 14 of their last 17 games, the Astros seem to have found their groove and are taking full advantage.

Coming into the All Star break next week, the Astros are sending two of their own to represent Houston at this year's MLB All Star Game in San Diego.

Second baseman Jose Altuve has just been on fire the past month or so. With a batting average hanging around the .350 mark, it was a no brainer.

Relief pitcher Wil Harris is another lock on the roster. Harris has been unstoppable for the past couple of months. So much so the Astros have toyed with the idea of making him their main closer. A role previously occupied by Luke Gregorson and Ken Giles who the Stros acquired in the offseason from Philly.

There is still time to vote in an Astros player. Right fielder George Springer has a chance to make the team with just under 3 days left before both rosters are finalized.

If you want to vote for Springer just text "A5" to 89269. Vote as many times as you want. Be aware, message and data rates may apply.

Come on South Texas! Let's make sure we are well represented in San Diego!

The MLB All Star game is live from San Diego July 13th.
