John Fogerty To Play Full CCR Albums on Canadian Tour

They have plenty of back bacon and all three members of Rush, but up until now, Canadian residents have been deprived of seeing John Fogerty perform entire Creedence Clearwater Revival albums in person. This September, that will all change when Fogerty takes his rather heftily titled tour, Wrote a Song for Everyone: John Fogerty Performs Live! The Albums of Creedence Clearwater Revival, to the Great White North for a 16-show string of dates.

As you may have guessed from the name of the tour, Fogerty’s dipping into his incredible back catalog of classic tunes for these shows, and for good reason: His upcoming album, ‘Wrote a Song for Everyone,’ finds him re-recording Creedence tracks with a guest roster that includes what his press release refers to as “today’s biggest superstars.” Confirmed performers include Foo Fighters (on ‘Fortunate Son’) and Bob Seger (‘Who’ll Stop the Rain’), as well as Dawes, My Morning Jacket, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley.

According to Canadian news site JAM!, Fogerty will perform the CCR albums ‘Bayou Country’ and ‘Cosmo’s Factory’ in their entirety on alternating nights, following up each run-through with a separate set of assorted hits. He’ll be joined by Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real, fresh off Lukas’ work with his dad Willie Nelson on Willie’s ‘Heroes’ LP.

Ticket sales for the tour start this Friday (May 5), with prices starting at a very reasonable $20 (before fees, of course). Take a look at the full list of dates below:
