Ever since Jennifer Aniston’s marriage to Brad Pitt fell apart several years ago amid allegations he cheated on her with Angelina Jolie, the tabloids have regularly reported an on-going animosity between the two ladies.

Not so, Aniston insists in a new interview.

When the March issue of InStyle asked what the press gets most wrong about her, the ‘Friends’ star said, “The triangle with my ex-husband – and that there’s a feud there. It’s constant. It’s a story headline that won’t go away, but it’s a money thing.” Aniston also added that the media cashes in on “a story that has nothing to do with reality.”

These days, Aniston is in a “joyful and peaceful” place with current beau Justin Theroux, whom she met when the two were cast in the upcoming film ‘Wanderlust.’

“Having experienced everything you don’t want in a partner over time, it starts to narrow down to what you actually do want,” Aniston notes. “As I get older I realize what qualities are important in love and what suits me. And what I won’t settle for.”

The blonde beauty, who turns 43 next month, is often celebrated for staying in great shape and looking years younger than she is — and sometimes even she’s surprised by her own age.

“You know what makes me feel old? When I see girls who are 20-something, or the new crop of actresses, and think, ‘Aren’t we kind of the same age?’” she laughs. “You lose perspective. Or being offered the part of a woman with a 17-year-old child. It’s like, “I’m not old enough to have a 17-year-old!” And then you realize, well, yeah, you are.”
