Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass previously swore not to return to the Bourne franchise unless they had a really good idea for another chapter. Nine years later, they’re back with a sequel, simply titled Jason Bourne. Two teasers have arrived online, offering some new footage and revealing the premiere date for the next trailer. Thankfully, you won’t have to wait long for that trailer to deliver on the promise of these teasers.

Universal debuted two teasers for Jason Bourne — the YouTube version above and this Twitter teaser:

As you can see, the first trailer will premiere this Thursday, April 21, so mark your calendars / write it on your hand / tell Siri to remind you / whatever.

Damon reprises his role as the eponymous former CIA operative for the long-awaited sequel, which sees Bourne dealing with some very current sociopolitical issues. In an interview with EW, Damon called Jason Bourne the “completion” of his character’s journey and a continuation of the first trilogy. Julia Stiles returns in the role of Nicky Parsons, with Damon describing how she sort sets things into motion in the sequel:

He’s living with the same things as he was before, and then he goes to find Julia Stiles’ character, who basically says, “Just because you remember everything, doesn’t mean you know everything.” So you find him in a place that’s dark and unresolved.

New additions include Tommy Lee Jones as a CIA figure, and Alicia Vikander, who plays a cyber expert. Damon’s Ocean’s Twelve / Thirteen co-star Vincent Cassel plays a villain in the film, which also stars Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler) and Ato Essandoh (Vinyl).

Jason Bourne hits theaters on July 29.
