It’s Harder Than You Think to Hit a Major League Fastball According to Science

Baseball season is in full swing (pun intended) and today we are going to focus on the tried and true pitch that either makes or breaks a good pitcher...the dreaded fastball.

Some pitchers' fastball doesn't even break 90 and can still be rather effective. However, you do have that rare breed who can reach triple digits (Nolan Ryan).

But just how hard is it to actually hit a 100mph fastball? A lot harder than you think.
