How ‘Bout Those Texans? Thursday Night Football Recap—Jaguars Win, 27-20
I guess at this point, the Houston Texans should be playing for the first-round draft pick, since all we fans have to look forward to is the future. Chad Henne threw two touchdown passes, and the Jaguars beat the Houston Texans, 27-20, in Jacksonville on Thursday night. The Jaguars (4-9) won their third straight game, while the Texans (2-11) lost their 11th straight contest.
Henne threw touchdown passes to Marcedes Lewis and Cecil Shorts III in the first half to give the Jags a 14-0 lead. Houston got on the board with just under two minutes till halftime when Case Keenum threw an 8-yard scoring pass to Keshawn Martin.
After trailing 17-7 at the half, the Texans rallied to within 24-20 in the fourth quarter behind quarterback Matt Schaub, who replaced Keenum in the third quarter. However, Jacksonville secured the win when Geno Hayes intercepted a Schaub pass with 2:08 remaining.
Schaub completed 17 of 29 passes for 198 yards and a touchdown. Andre Johnson caught 13 passes for 154 yards for Houston.
Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 103 yards for the Jaguars.
