According to ESPN, The Houston Texans have basically told Running Back Arian Foster that they will be releasing him from his contract.

It shouldn't come as a surprise. Ever since he was the top rusher in the NFL a few seasons ago his career has been plagued with injury after injury often times sidelining him for months at a time.

No word yet on Foster's response (if any) or where he might end up. Does it come as a shock? It really shouldn't. The Texans are trying to build a playoff worthy team and not just a team that squeaks by because of the division they're in.

Draft day is around the corner so let's see if they get a decent back for cheap. The quarterback situation is still a hot mess and there have been rumors of the Texans possibly trading for Niners QB Colin Kaepernik...we'll see how it all plays out over the next few weeks.

Stay tuned.
