Houston Texans Offensive Lineman Wins George Halas Award

Congratulations to Houston Texans Offensive Lineman David Quessenberry winner of the 2017 George Halas Award!

The award from the Professional Football writers of America, is given to a player, coach, or NFL staff member who overcomes adversity to succeed. Quessenberry fought a three-year battle win non-Hodgkins lymphoma, he was diagnosed in 2014, and returned to play this year. He was placed on the non-football illness list in the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Quessenberry, who was a sixth-round draft pick in 2013 from San Jose State, returned to the team in May for OTA sessions.
