Houston Texans Get Their 1st Win of the Season 13-9

The Houston Texans took to the road for a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals and managed to pull out a 13-9 win, in which both offenses struggled.

First round draft pick Deshaun Watson got his first start and he showed some spark especially on a 49 yard scramble for the game’s only touchdown.

Houston's defense looked lackluster through much of the game, but managed to seal the win on the crazy last play of the game when the Bengals used multiple laterals in a last-ditch effort to get into the end zone.

Andy Dalton completed 19 of 34 passes for 216 yards for Cincinnati (0-2), but he couldn’t guide his team to a touchdown. The Bengals were held to 287 total yards on the game. They had just 82 yards rushing on 24 carries.

Watson threw for 125 yards and ran for 67 more, including a dazzling scamper for a touchdown just before halftime that helped the Texans win. Houston had just 266 yards of offense in the game, but they avoided turnovers and capitalized on their few scoring opportunities.

Now the Texans can use 10 days off to get ready for a game on the road against the New England Patriots on September 24th.
