There is no doubt that the Houston Texans didn't have the greatest year finishing 4-12, but that didn't stop them from extending Head coach bill O'Brien's contract another 4 years.

Announcing the extension last Saturday, the Texans also announced the hiring of Brian Gaine as the team's General Manager.

Whether or not the Head Coach is responsible for the team's lack of success is open for debate, but one certainly can't argue the fact that just when it seemed the Texans had finally found their quarterback in Deshaun Watson, he gets injured during practice and the rest of the season's offensive production was seriously lacking. Other injuries to key players on both offense and defense didn't help either.

On the management side, Brian Gaine was signed to a 5-year contract as GM. Gaine has worked for the Texans before as Director of Pro Personnel in 2015-2016, and VP of Player Personnel in 2014. Most recently, he was VP of Player  Personnel for the Buffalo Bills.
