The Houston Astros are still alive in the AL Wildcard Playoff race, after beating the Seattle Mariners 8-4 yesterday, cutting their distance behind Seattle to 2 & 1/2 games.

George Springer hit a double that scored 2 runs in the 6th inning, part of a 6-run inning.

The 2 teams meet up again this afternoon in Houston.
