Hosts of The View Openly Mock Nurse Pageant Contestant

Two hosts on “The View,” are receiving backlash after poking fun at Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson and her Miss America monologue about being a nurse.

Comedian and co-host Michelle Collins stated that the contestant basically just came on stage and started citing her emails. Co-host Joy Behar chimed in asking "why is she wearing a dr's stethoscope?". Well Miss Behar, let me enlighten you. I've learned a lot going through my battles with cancer and lupus. I've spent my fair share of time in the hospital and have dealt with countless nurses and almost all of them wore a stethoscope.

You see, your nurse if the first line of people you see before you see the Doctor who I might add is an incredibly busy person. The nurse checks your lungs, your heartbeat, bowel sounds etc. How are they supposed to do that exactly? By sticking their ear to your chest? Or your stomach?

Luckily, nurses all over the country have risen up and defended Miss Colorado (who is an actual nurse by the way). And the ladies of The View will most likely sweep this under the rug an go back to doing what they do best....absolutely nothing.
