Honor Vietman Vets with The Parade That Never Was
Warrior’s Weekend is a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving wounded American heroes from across the country. That’s why the group has decided it’s time to recognize those who fought for our country, yet came home without being honored, and who many have suffered emotionally because of how they were treated. The Vietnam/Vietnam Era Veterans.
Warrior’s Weekend’s motto is “to thank, to heal, to open hearts and we feel it is TIME to do just that in the lives of these brave and courageous Vietnam Veterans by hosting a “Welcome Home Parade” that they should have had a long time ago.”
According to the official press release, here’s the lowdown.
“THE PARADE THAT NEVER WAS” WILL HAPPEN ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13TH AT 10:00AM IN DOWNTOWN VICTORIA, TX.. WE ARE CALLING ALL VIETNAM/VIETNAM ERA VETERANS FROM ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS TO BE OUR HONORED GUESTS ALONG WITH ANY GOLD STAR FAMILY MEMBERS WHO LOST A LOVED ONE IN THE VIETNAM WAR. REGISTRATION OF VETERANS, GOLD STAR FAMILIES CAN BE DONE BY FILLING OUT THE REGISTRATION FORM FROM YOUR PACKET, OR BY CALLING TO REGISTER WITH:

What is sad is that when we talked to some local Vietnam Veterans about this parade, the one thing that really bothered them is this question, “What if no one comes???” What about it America? Will you come?
