Members of the Victoria Fire Department and members of Local 3679, along with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, will celebrate their 60-year partnership and kick off the fire fighters' annual 'Fill the Boot' fundraising campaign to benefit children and adults affected by muscle disease throughout the Victoria area.
More than 20 members of the Victoria Fire Department will fan out across two
intersections with boots in hand for this year’s drive on Saturday, December 13th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the corners of NE Zac Lentz & N Navarro and Laurent & Rio Grande.
Last year the department raised over $20,000 for MDA health care services, equipment repair, support groups, and to help send kids to free MDA summer camp.
