HEB issues a recall of it's raw shelled pistachios yesterday citing potential salmonella contamination concerns.

The recall affects product found in prepackaged plastic containers containing raw pistachios with either labels reading Shelled Pistachios or Central Market Shelled Pistachios as well as pistachios found in the bulk section with SunRidge Farms labels reading: Women's Vitality Mix, Pistachio Nuts and Dark Chocolate Pistachios.

Symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In some circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses. There have been no reports of illness to date and all product has been removed from stores.

The affected product can return the product to the store for a full refund. Customers with any questions or concerns may contact H-E-B Customer Service at 1-855-432-4438 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
