2014's Guardians of the Galaxy was a box office smash in part due to a storyline that involved a mixtape of '70s rock that also served as its soundtrack. It appears that Marvel Studios are keeping that approach for the sequel, because they just released a commercial that uses David Bowie's "Suffragette City."

You can watch it above, as Mick Ronson's glammy guitar accentuates the action, with a pause coming just before the "Wham bam / Thank you, ma'am" line. Marvel used another track from Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, "Moonage Daydream," in the first installment of the franchise.

Marvel's official synopsis reads, "Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand."

However, Screencrush suggests that, although Chris Pratt's Peter Quill remains the main character, Drax, played by former MMA fighter and professional wrestler Dave Bautista, will take a bigger role based on the amount of time he's getting in the other trailers and commercials that have aired to date. Other stars from the first film, including Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana and Vin Diesel, are returning for the sequel.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will open in theaters nationwide on May 5.
