Groundhog Does Not See His Shadow…..Early Spring? Probably Not.

In news out of Gobblers Knob (yes, that's the name) Pennsylvania this morning famed groundhog Punxsutawney Phil came out of his hole this morning and did NOT see his shadow. Which, via tradition, means Spring will arrive early this year.

However, in the last almost half century, Phil has made predictions that don't always come true. Coming into 2016 he was 13/15 meaning he was right 13 times and wrong 15 times. Which, essentially, is the same if you flipped a coin and chose heads or tails.

This winter has been on the milder side with the exception of the huge snowstorm that dumped the 3rd largest snowfall on NYC less than 2 weeks ago.

But, if you think a medium sized rodent has any effect on global climate, then who am I to say you're wrong.

We'll wait and see next month.
