Adrian Beltre sent a 5th inning home run with the bases loaded into the left field seats yesterday, a grand slam that not only powered the Texas Rangers to a 5-2 win over the Oakland Athletics but, also marked Beltre's 100th homer at Globe Life Park in Arlington.The shot was Beltre's 10th career grand slam.

Martin Perez threw 7 solid innings in his 1st win since late June, and the Rangers were back in form after back to back shutouts at the hands of the Detroit Tigers. The Rangers still hold a 6 game lead in the American League West with Seattle in 2nd and the Houston Astros 8 games out in 3rd.
