Are you interested in making our fair city and your own neighborhood a better place to live? One way to do that is through better communication with the Victoria Police Department.

Throughout 2016, VPD will be putting on Community Zone Meetings to hear from you. Do you have any questions about law enforcement in our community? Are there any related issues you'd like to hear about? Want to just thank our boys in blue for all they do? That's what these meetings will be all about. It's also a great way to meet members of the department's command staff and other community leaders. This is a great opportunity to spend a little time with our men and women in blue to both get to know them (who are all pretty nice folks, by the way) and, talk about any concerns you may have about the area where you live. Seriously, it's not often that you get a chance like this, with a police force that is truly interested in your concerns.

These meetings are 'zone specific', which means that each one is for a specific area of the city. The next meeting is today (Thursday June 30) is for Zone 100, which will be held from 6 to 7:30pm in the Bronte Room at the Victoria Public Library located 302 Main St., downtown Victoria.
