Strong pitching led the way as the Victoria Generals got back on the winning track last night, beating the Acadiana Cane Cutters 6-3.

Pitcher Ryan Benitez was solid over 6 innings giving up only 2 earned runs, fanning 5 Cane Cutters without giving up any walks. Offensively, outfielder Justin Pacchioli logged 2 RBI's going 2 for 5 on the night, while infielder Pedro Barrios managed one RBI on a 3-for-4 performance, also scoring 2 times.

The Generals split the series with the Cane Cutters one game a piece and remain tied for second place in the TCL. The Generals travel to The Woodlands tomorrow for a 3-game series against the Strykers, and will return home Thursday to face the Cane Cutters again for a 2-game series.

Go Generals!
