Ft. Worth Priest Wins Home Beer Brewers Award

A Roman Catholic Priest from Ft. Worth has other skills beyond his religious duties, like brewing award-winning beer.

Rev Jeff Poirot and his beer-brewing partner Nick McCoy have been named the 2017 Ninkasi Award winners. Given every year to home brewers who score the most points in a national competition for home brewers.

The pair call their home brewing operation 'Draft Punk', after the electronic music duo Daft Punk. Their winning concoction is a Belgian Quadrupel they refer to as 'Jeffestival' because it was brewed on the Reverend's 43rd birthday.
