It's been quite a roller coaster of a week so far in the metal world. With the passing of Static X Front man Wayne Static over the weekend and now we've learned that Drowning Pool and Soil singer Ryan McCombs suffered a stroke in his sleep a couple of days ago.

Luckily, they were able to rush McCombs to the hospital thus preventing any more damage but the singer says he's still having some difficulty. He added this on Facebook:

“Thanks to Izzi [Ryan's girlfriend] making me go to the hospital Monday morning we caught it before my stupid brain made to much of a mess of me.. I’m already doing better but I’m warned it’ll be a bit of a road.

“The Angry Hobbit is a stubborn prick and I believe shit will right itself in no time. I mean, hell, my stupid dumb right hand only made me take 15 minutes to write this…lol seriously. That’s whooping the horse’s booty from just last night.

“In great hands here and Izzi is keeping a protective eye.”

If you remember, former Drowning Pool front man, Dave Williams, passed away on August 14, 2002, Williams was found dead in Drowning Pool's tour bus in Manassas, Virginia. An autopsy established that he had died from heart failure caused by cardiomyopathy (heart muscle disease), which went undiagnosed until his death.

Perhaps the band is cursed? Who knows but we wish Ryan well on his road to recovery.
