In a series of Twitter Q&A videos, Dream Theater bassist John Myung answered a question from a fan about when the band's next album would be released (watch below).

Myung said, "If all goes according to plan, there's talk of it coming out towards the end of the summer. That would probably be the earliest that would happen."

Since Dream Theater's last album 'A Dramatic Turn of Events' was written before new drummer Mike Mangino joined the band, a question was asked on if the songwriting and dynamics were different on the new album.

Singer James LaBrie responded. "Absolutely. Many things have changed. The dynamics in the album for this writing process is phenomenal. I think Mike, coming from where he is as a musician and how musical he is, can't help but bring a new element into the band throughout the writing process... It is going to prove itself to have taken Mike as a player and us a band to another level. I think the fans are in for a great treat."

As DT fans anxiously await the new studio album, the band is releasing a live CD/DVD/Blu-ray in May. ‘Live At Luna Park’ was filmed in South America. It will be released in a variety of formats, including 2 DVDs, Blu-ray, Digital Video, 2 DVDs / 3 CDs, Blu-ray / 3 CDs and a deluxe edition with 2 DVDs, 3 CDs and Blu-ray.
