We're just over a week away from the global simulcast of 'Doctor Who''s landmark 50th anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor," but why wait that long? Matt Smith and David Tennant share their first meeting as the 10th and 11th Doctors are brought together in the first clip from "The Day of the Doctor!"

It seems we were right to question "Elizabeth's Credentials," as at least part of the epic 50th anniversary special will see the Doctor investigating paintings that all the subjects seem to have broken out of. Then, in true timey-wimey fashion, the first clip from "The Day of the Doctor" whisks our favorite raggedy man away to come face to face with...himself!

Here’s how the BBC describes the upcoming special:

The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special. In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

November 23 will also see the airing of a special by Professor Brian Cox on BBC Two about the science behind the show, coupled with ‘Sherlock‘ star Mark Gatiss’ ‘Doctor Who’ origins movie, ‘An Adventure in Space and Time.’ “The Day of the Doctor” itself will also be simulcast globally, and released in select US theaters for a 3D broadcast.

Put on your fez, and check out our first look at the Doctors united in "The Day of the Doctor" clip above! What do you think the 'Doctor Who' 50th anniversary will bring next Saturday?
