Ronnie James Dio was perhaps metal's greatest singer of all time, and it was a true tragedy when he passed away in 2010. Dio's music has remained captivating as its continued to age, and that fact is being celebrated through a upcoming reissue of the 'Finding the Sacred Heart - Live in Philly 1986' on DVD, Blu-ray, CD and vinyl formats.

Recorded at the Spectrum in Philly on June 17, 1986, Dio's 'Finding the Sacred Heart' was originally released on VHS tape, but will make its DVD debut on May 28. Along with the DVD version, 'Finding the Sacred Heart' will be available in Blu-ray, as a double CD and as a double vinyl LP as well. The DVD and Blu-ray editions have been digitally restored, while the sound on the CD and vinyl editions have been fully remastered.

The elaborate stage show documented in 'Finding the Sacred Heart' is classic Dio, including a giant animatronic dragon towering over the stage and spectacular pyro. Dio's lineup at the time was an incredibly strong one, with Vinny Appice on drums, Jimmy Bain on bass, Claude Schnell on keyboards and new guitarist (at the time) Craig Goldy. The setlist for the show contains classics such as 'Holy Diver,' 'Don't Talk to Strangers' and 'Rainbow in the Dark' along with tracks from Dio's band Rainbow and his years with Black Sabbath.

Dio's 'Finding the Sacred Heart - Live in Philly 1986' will be released on May 28 via Eagle Rock Entertainment. Check out the full track listing for the new Dio offering below.
