If you think it's been too long since you've been to a baseball game, think about Mary Johnson.

The lifelong Detroit Tigers fan celebrated her 104th birthday Sunday by seeing her team host the Seattle Mariners. It was the first time she's seen a game in person since 1936.

Johnson, whose birthday was May 10, was supposed to catch a game on May 15, but it was rained out, so she had to wait until Sunday to make the trip to Comerica Park. It was definitely worth the wait, though. She was whisked to the stadium in a limousine, got a personalized message on the scoreboard and was interviewed during the game.

The real highlight, though, may have been meeting Tigers great Al Kaline before the game. The encounter certainly impressed the Hall of Famer, who said, "She's awesome. She's so sharp."

Johnson certainly enjoyed the experience. She joined in with the crowd when they sang 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' and confessed, "I've never had a celebration like this before in my life."

Not everything came up roses, though. The Tigers fell to the Mariners, 7-3.
