Houston Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel has been on his game all season long. He is the American League's only 20 game winner, he's a perfect 15-0 at home and just dominates batters all through out games. That did not change Tuesday night as Keuchel, a front runner for the AL Cy Young award, shut down the New York Yankees at their home ball park in Brooklyn.

Keuchel has faced the Yankees 3 times this season for a combined 22 innings...all of which the Yankees have failed to score a single run.

Not to take anything away from Yankees pitching. Masahira Tanaka also pitched well only allowing 2 runs....but those 2 runs were more than enough for the Astros to win and advance to the American League Division Series on Thursday.

In the top of the second inning Tanaka threw a first pitch slider that found it's way into the seats courtesy of the red hot Colby Rasmus. Then on the first pitch in the fourth inning Tanaka again threw a mistake over the center of the plate that Carlos Gomez took deep. Cap that off by a run scored on a Jose Altuve single and that's all the Astros would need to send the Yankees home for the season.

Next stop is Kansas City for the best of 5 ALDS series. The Astros hold a season 4-2 record over the Royals. Let's hope that carries over.

Go Stros!
