Baseball season is once again upon us as most teams from around the world of MLB ushered in opening day across the country.

Right here in Texas, the Houston Astros (who I will probably never get used to being in the American League) played host to the Cleveland Indians....and what a pitching duel that game was.  Dallas Keuchel got the opening day start for the Stros and threw 7 shut out innings in his first start of the season.

To make things harder, the good guys were facing last year's Cy Young award winner in Corey Kluber who also had a strong outing going 7 and 1/3 innings with 2 earned runs.

All in all a great start for the promising upstart Astros.  Hopefully they can keep up the momentum for 160+ more games......I know I know....long way to go.

To make things even better during the opening day festivities, Hall of Famer and former Astros 2nd baseman Craig Biggio was on hand to throw out the first pitch to current 2nd baseman and last year's American League batting champion Jose Altuve.  Altuve said it was a dream come true.  The pitch.....it was a strike of course.  Get Biggio a uniform in case we need his help in the pen.
