Well the Cowboys have acquired a new quarterback to fill in for Tony Romo as he recovers from a broken collarbone. Well, not exactly. The Cowboys traded for Buffalo quarterback Matt Cassel to fill Brandon Weeden's spot on the bench as Weeden fills in for Tony Romo...yeah that's it.

Cassel lost the quarterback competition in Buffalo to Tyrod Taylor this summer, and was released as a part of the team’s final cuts from the roster heading into the season. He was then added back just days later, with a pay cut to serve as Taylor’s immediate backup in 2015.

The Cowboys traded away an undisclosed 2017 draft pick for Cassel. Who know what will happen to him once Romo returns.

Romo isn't the only Cowboy down with injury. Star wide out Dez Bryant is out with a broken foot and defensive stand out Orlando Scandrick is also on the shelf. Plus, we found out this week that tight end Jason Whitten may not start this week due to injury.

Seems like the Cowboys could use all the help they can get this season. We will have to wait and see.
