The water boil advisory continues in Corpus Christi. The advisory initially went out Friday evening after water testing revealed less than desirable amounts of chlorine in the water supple.

The city extended the advisory after bacteria turned up in the latest round of testing as well.

Water samples are being collected periodically to check chlorine levels, and monitor for bacteria.

While the disinfectant levels seem to have stabilized, the test results on one water sample collected came back positive for general bacteria, although it wasn't E-Coli.

All the rain is also hampering the testing efforts. CCISD schools will provide students with bottled water until the tap water is okay to use again.

The district has sent out a voicemail to parents, advising them that it's adhering to all the water boil guidelines. The Tuloso Midway ISD will also provide students and staff with bottled water.

It is unknown how long the boil water advisory will continue.
