The star-packed Concert for George will be reissued -- and broadly expanded – in time to commemorate the 75th anniversary of George Harrison's birth.

"We will always celebrate George's birthday, and this year we are releasing Concert for George in a very special package in memory of a special man," Harrison's widow Olivia said in a news release.

Featuring performances from friends and collaborators like Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty and Ravi Shankar, the Concert for George was originally held on Nov. 29, 2002 – one year after the former Beatles star's death. The eight-times platinum-selling and Grammy-winning live package that followed will now return in a variety of formats, including a limited-edition 10-disc deluxe box set. It will also be available as a 180-gram four-LP vinyl box and on streaming platforms for the first time.

There will also be two-CD, two-CD plus two-DVD and two-CD plus two-Blu-ray combo packages available beginning on Feb. 23. Covers of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by McCartney and Clapton and "I Need You" by Petty will be available as instant downloads with all digital pre-orders and on streaming services.

The DVD and Blu-ray feature the complete filmed concert, as well as the original theatrical version that also includes interviews with performers, rehearsal footage and behind-the-scenes material. The Blu-ray also boasts an exclusive interview segment called "Drummers," where Starr and Jim Keltner add personal insight.

The deluxe box set will be limited to 1,000 worldwide, and notably includes a piece of the hand-painted onstage tapestry used as the backdrop at the Royal Albert Hall that night. These sets are available only through ConcertForGeorge.com.

The Concert for George film was directed by David Leland, who earlier worked with Harrison, Petty and Lynne on the video for the Traveling Wilbury's "Handle With Care." Lynne produced the audio portion of Concert for George, and Clapton served as the evening's musical director.
