Pop A Wheelie and Drop A Beat With The Turntable Rider

The world of specialized DJ tools has gotten pretty ridiculous – meet the Turntable Rider, created by Japanese company Cogoo.

This incredible bit of kit converts a standard BMX bicycle into a musical instrument. The front and back wheels operate as jog wheels, letting you move forward and backwards through audio clips, scratching, skipping and stuttering them. The handbrakes are connected to sound pads, and the whole device runs through a little mixer mounted on the handlebars.

While we wouldn’t expect to see Skrillex tootling around on one of these anytime soon, it’s still a pretty sweet little invention. Check out some riders putting it through its paces in this video.
