A 30 minute rain delay in Victoria may have held up the Texas Collegiate League action at Riverside Stadium, but it didn't stop the Bombers from beating the Generals 13-8.

The high-scoring affair had both teams combining for 35 hits in the game. Generals starting pitcher Zac Vasek was making his debut for the Generals, giving up 6 earned runs on 10 hits with 5 strikeouts on 3.2 innings in the loss.

The Generals were able to get withing 1 run in the 5th, but couldn't keep up with the Bombers in the end.

With the loss, the Generals season record falls to 17-17 and 0-4 in the second-half.  The Bombers improve to 29-5 overall and 3-1 in the second-half.

The Generals have three days off for the TCL All-Star Break. The All-Star Game will be played at Driller Park in Kilgore on Tuesday night at 7:05pm.

The Generals return home after the break to host the East Texas Pump Jacks on Thursday night at 7:05pm at Riverside Stadium. Thursday night is VC Night at the Ballpark and Thirsty Thursday presented by Beef ‘O’ Brady’s with $1 draft beer on the party deck all game long.
