Bombers Even TCL Championship Series

Despite some great pitching by Ryan Benitez, the Victoria Generals lost a close one to the Brazos Valley Bombers in game 2 of the Texas Collegiate League Championship Series in Bryan last night.

Generals starter Ryan Benitez notched 5 strikeouts in the game, but was relieved by Chris Jones in the bottom of the 8th in the 4-3 loss.

Cedric Vallieres, David Paiz ,Blake Kopetsky and C.J. Pickering all had hits for the Generals, and Matthew Burks hit his 8th homer of the season, putting him atop the league's HR list.

Now it all comes down to one deciding game, scheduled for tonight at 7:05 in Bryan.
