For all those having Blue Bell ice cream withdraws, fret no further. "Our trucks are on the road again...And yes, they are filled with Blue Bell Ice Cream! We'll let ou know soon when and where you can find our products in stores." That message according to Blue Bell's Facebook page.

The company began a trial run of ice cream production at its Sylacauga plant on July 22. The trial run was done on a limited basis in order to test and monitor new procedures, enhancement and training.

Plants in Alabama; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Brenham, Texas, were closed in April after ice cream products were linked to 10 cases of listeriosis in four states: one case in Arizona, five cases in Kansas, one case in Oklahoma and three cases in Texas. Three of the patients in Kansas died.

The company announced in July that Texas billionaire Sid Bass became a partner after making a significant investment in the company.
