A beach goer in Galveston stumbled upon something you don't see wash up everyday here in Texas....about $175,000 worth of cocaine wrapped in plastic bags.

Galveston police said Monday that the more than 30 bags do not contain any information on the source of the drugs.

Police say a man reported finding the bags Sunday morning on the shore just south of Galveston Island State Park. The bags yielded about 15 pounds of cocaine.

Authorities are trying to determine the source of the cocaine.

Drug runners using boats have been known to toss their cargo overboard when being pursued by law enforcement officers.

Either way....this could have either turned into a very dangerous situation or one hell of a weekend.
