The Dallas Cowboys will have to go the rest of the way this season without CB Orlando Scandrick. Scandrick tore his ACL and MCL in his right knee during practice on Thursday. He will miss the remainder of the 2015 season.

Scandrick's right knee buckled as he attempted to tackle wide receiver Lucky Whitehead. The rookie then fell on Scandrick's leg. Scandrick was in immediate pain, cursing loudly while on the ground. He put a towel over his face and was in tears as he was taken off the field on a cart.

Losing Scandrick counts as a huge setback for the Cowboys. He is easily the team's best cornerback, and his absence puts pressure on less dependable options like Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne.

In May, Scandrick signed a one-year contract extension, worth $9.5 million.

The Cowboys found a way to persevere last year when Sean Lee was lost early in the team's offseason program. The loss of Scandrick presents perhaps an even greater challenge to Jason Garrett's team. A bad night in Big D.
