Springfield Actually Not In Oregon, Says ‘Simpsons’ Creator Matt Groening
Well, Oregon, it was fun while at lasted. Earlier this week, it was reported that Matt Groening, the creator of ‘The Simpsons‘, had declared in an interview with Smithsonian Magazine that the famous family’s home of Springfield was in Oregon, ending two decades of debate over what state housed America’s favorite animated town.
The only problem was that wasn’t what Groening really said.

Newark mayor Corey Booker arrived home last night to find his neighbors’ home on fire. His security detail, led by officer Alex Rodriguez, had preceded him home and had already gotten most of the residents out of the burning building.
But one more woman remained, and when Booker heard this, he insisted that he enter the house to rescue her.
